The construction industry faces significant risks, with falls being the leading cause of fatalities. Workers must use fall protection when working at heights of six feet or more. The 8-Hour Fall Prevention course provides essential training on identifying, mitigating, and correcting fall hazards on job sites. Topics include fall hazard recognition, competent person responsibilities, types of fall protection systems, calculation of fall distances, and proper anchorage point selection.

This  course equips construction workers with the knowledge to effectively recognize, avoid, and manage fall hazards. Accessible on any device, learners can progress through the material at their own pace. Upon successful completion, participants receive their certification via email, confirming their competence in fall prevention.

Fall Prevention Training – NYC DOB Requirement

In accordance with Local Law 196, the NYC Department of Buildings mandates specific training for individuals working on NYC construction projects. This includes:

• 8 hours of fall prevention training
• 30 hours of construction training
• 2 hours of drug and alcohol prevention training

Course Requirements:

• 100% attendance during the Fall Protection Class
• Minimum passing score on the end-of-course examination
• Hands-on participation in the class
